At some point during this semester I want to DM a one shot. This will be my first time DMing so it will be a learning expereince for me. I have the one shot all planned out so on free weekend if anyone wants to get a one shot going let me know.

I'll join in. What level range and what rulesets will you be using?
I'd like to play either a Sorcerer or Barbarian (or if you're allowing Eberron rules, I'd like to try out a Warforged Fighter).

I will also play. If you are allowing hybrids, I'd like to try my gnoll beastmaster ranger|rogue, or I can attempt to defend (githyanki swordmage unless you don't allow MM races.

Just a note to all of you lookign to try crazy classes. that makes it really hard for a new DM to do things, so be nice. Try to keep it standard, at least for his first game.

just to make it easier for me i'm not going to allow playtests (Hybrids or Primal Power) otherwise all printed material is okay (including MM races except Bugbear and anyother oversized races i don't know about).
Characters will be level 8
This weekend maybe possible but it would have to be on monday, the oneshot won't be that long maybe 3 to 5 hrs at the most.

Unless someone is itching for the defender slot, then, I have an Ardent Paladin I'm thinking of trying. And I think he's human, too. If someone else wants to play defender, I can find something else (playtest my Warlord? Do an Avenger? A Warlock? Ranger? Basically, anything but a Controller)  |

In that case, I will play a kobold rogue(ruthless ruffian) if at least two other people are melee, otherwise a tiefling infernalock.

I sort of lost track of what everyone else wants to take. So I guess I'll take whatever we need to fill out the party.
Rachael - if you want to try out a different role, I'll play a leader. If not that's ok too. I like doing unusual race/class combinations for one-shots.
