Interesting Level Analysis in the 3/3.5 vein

This was written just before 4e came out, and I haven't done any of the math extrapolating his thoughts into the 4e ruleset. But it feels mostly right to me. AT the very least, an interesting perspective.

Very, very interesting. I like how he debunked the theories most people hold that movie and story heroes are always max level!

Makes me think about a lot of other "epic" characters and how not-epic they probably are. Let's face it, good stories come from good struggles, and the struggles of Gods aren't that interesting.

Very, very true! Although, I think The Doctor is still close to if not epic.

I don't know many characters who can play with the fabric of time that aren't epic (the only other one that comes to mind is Q). What's interesting about the Doctor is that (from my experience watching the show) is his power is knowledge instead of ability. I think that's cool.

Int-based Epicness. Q would be... I guess Int-based as well? Definitely not Wisdom-based given his poor choices and all.
