Makes me think about a lot of other "epic" characters and how not-epic they probably are. Let's face it, good stories come from good struggles, and the struggles of Gods aren't that interesting.

I don't know many characters who can play with the fabric of time that aren't epic (the only other one that comes to mind is Q). What's interesting about the Doctor is that (from my experience watching the show) is his power is knowledge instead of ability. I think that's cool.
